The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the operation and functioning of the Township’s extensive municipal infrastructure (roadways, storm drainage, sanitary sewerage and disposal, potable water supply and distribution, recycling and solid waste collection and disposal). There are over X local Township streets, comprising more than Y miles of roadway infrastructure.
The DPW provides for the maintenance, repair and improvement of the existing infrastructure. The DPW is also responsible for planning and coordinating the expansion of water and sewerage utilities. In addition, the DPW provides technical, mechanical and engineering advice and services as needed by other departments, offices and/or agencies of the Township. The DPW also schedules and inspects public works construction programs and capital improvement projects, and prepares reports on the progress and status of the various public improvements to the Administration.
