Raymond Kimble has served as the Mayor of Belleville since 2006. He brings a strong public safety and management background with years of experience in local government and management.
Serving the Belleville Police Department for more than 30 years, Raymond retired from the position of Police Chief in 1997. He served as Belleville’s Township Manager from 1997 until 2000 and again from 2002 until 2004. During his career with the Police Department, Raymond furthered his education and earned a B.S. in Public Safety Administration and a M.A. in Urban Education and Community Affairs.
ln addition Raymond serves as a member of the Planning Board and is a Trustee of the Belleville Public Library. He is a member of several organizations including the New Jersey Police Chiefs Association and has been awarded the Andrew Carnegie Lifetime Achievement Award by the Belleville Public Library in 2007 and Man of the Year Award by the Belleville Chapter of UNICO National.
Raymond graduated from Belleville High School and joined the United States Army where he served our nation for six years. Raymond and his wife, Marie, have been married for more than 50 years and have four children: Raymond, Steven, Linda and Lisa as well as eleven grandchildren.
