The Belleville Police Department encourages Township residents to utilize the crime prevention tips in the graphic presented above to help mitigate car thefts and burglaries in our community.
Residents who are expecting package delivery and are not able to be home at the time of delivery are encouraged to make arrangements with friends or neighbors to receive the package on your behalf rather than having the package left unattended for hours at your front door.
Home security systems, especially camera surveillance systems, are another effective means to deter criminal activity and can provide significant help to the BPD with their investigations. Such camera systems are now reasonably priced and the technology has advanced to include completely wireless systems with secure cloud storage.
