As of 8 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018, a snow emergency declaration is now in effect for the Township of Belleville.
Due to the anticipated snow storm forecast to affect our area on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the Township is requiring all vehicles to be removed from Township Emergency Routes (see table below) by 6 AM Wednesday, March 21, 2018 or be subjected to ticketing and/or towing.
Recycling pickups for Wednesday, March 21, 2018 will begin at 3 AM due to the anticipated storm.
Residents are again reminded that placing objects in the streets to reserve parking spaces is prohibited and can hinder emergency services and the Department of Public Works in clearing streets.
Do not throw or plow snow from your property into Township streets.
Residents who own dogs and/or cats are also reminded that it is illegal to leave their pets outdoors during periods of inclement weather.
These ordinances will be strictly enforced and those violating the same will be subject to summonses.
All Recreation Department activities scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2018 have been cancelled.
All Belleville Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Champions Before and Aftercare will also be canceled.
Mayor Kimble and the Town Council thank you for your cooperation with these important matters so all members of our community can remain safe during the snow storm.
